Mustafa Khan is a seasoned security professional, senior investigator, and executive protection expert with more than 35 years of verifiable experience across security operations, risk management, private investigations, and executive protection at the highest levels.

 

Born in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Compton, California, Mustafa’s early life shaped a strong foundation of discipline, resilience, and leadership. He pursued studies in Criminal Justice at Santa Ana College and Mt. San Antonio College, where he also distinguished himself as a multi-sport athlete. Through athletics, he developed a deep appreciation for teamwork, strategy, and leadership—principles that continue to guide his professional career.

Today, Mustafa serves as a Licensed Senior Investigator and is the Founder of Confidential Matters, Inc. His leadership extends into public service and community safety, where he is a Commissioner on the City of Compton Law Enforcement Review Board, a member of the California Leadership Team for the L.A. Peacebuilders Collaborative, and a Certified Community Safety Navigator through the Professional Community Intervention Training Institute (PCITI). He is also a Lifetime Member of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (NABCJ).

In addition to his investigative and protective work, Mustafa is actively engaged in education and youth development. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Sheenway School & Culture Center and serves as President and CEO of the Southern California Junior Cricket Academy, where he supports mentorship, leadership development, and community empowerment.

Khary Stanley is a seasoned security professional with more than 20 years of experience in executive/dignitary protection, investigations, and correctional operations. His background spans professional sports security, corporate and ultra-high-net-worth client protection, aviation security, and detention management at the state and federal levels. He holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Business Management from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology/Corrections from California State University, Fresno. Khary is licensed and credentialed with an Arizona Armed/Unarmed Guard Card, California Guard Card, California Private Investigator and Arizona CCW. Khary is also an NRA Pistol Instructor.

Khary previously served as Team Security for the Phoenix Mercury, where he managed and oversaw comprehensive security operations for home and road games, player appearances, and league events. His responsibilities included advance planning, threat and risk assessments, crisis and emergency preparedness, coordination with venue security and law enforcement, and direct executive protection for players, coaches, and staff. He has played a key role in developing and implementing team security policies and standard operating procedures to ensure the safety of all basketball operations personnel.

 

In addition to his role in professional sports, Khary works as a Security Manager and Investigator providing armed and unarmed executive/dignitary protection services for state elected officials, corporate leaders, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. His experience includes leading complex protection details, managing 24-hour residential security operations, conducting surveillance and counter-surveillance, and performing workplace violence and threat investigations. He regularly collaborates with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to ensure seamless security coordination.

Khary’s earlier career includes service as an Aviation Security Officer under the direction of the U.S. Marshals Service and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, where he safely maintained custody of inmates and detainees during domestic and international air transport operations. He also served as a Youth Correction Officer II with the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections (ADJC), leading facility operations, managing large residential units, and applying de-escalation and behavior management strategies in high-risk environments.Khary was awarded the Medal of Valor from (ADJC) for his active response and de-escalation ability during a life-threatening situation.

GEORGE STEPHEN THORNTON, Field Manger, As a valuable member of Confidential Matters INC.  Mr. Thornton brings a value that cannot be matched. Amongst his highly decorated clean record as a “Los Angeles County Panel Investigator,” he provides resources and relationship management in law enforcement, crime scene investigation and preventable catastrophe. He’s known for finding potential safety risk & oversight specifically in large event arenas.

​

Additionally, he manages and oversees all forensic related maters as it relates to crime solving.

George worked as Los Angeles County Panel Investigator for twenty-four years without reprimand of any kind. As a subject matter expert on all things forensic investigation, George has been involved on over 30 cases of death allegation where only 2 cases had results of guilty.

​

Areas of special training are to include, but are not limited to:

  • Homicide, Fingerprint, and crime scene processing, including photography,

  • FBI area 12 assignment training staff.

  • Prepared prose novella for publication entitled “Practice and Methodology” in Fingerprint

  • Led analysis in an urban environment

  • Investigations in Arson, robbery, kidnap, sexual assault.

  • Ran lab for audio/video production and codec transferring of recorded media for real time

  • Managed 300+ verifiable appointed upper level felony cases.
